Review of May performance of Tir by Ballet Cymru

My album of Welsh Folk Music – Tir – was the inspiration for Ballet Cymru choreographers Darius James and Amy Doughty, who have used 11 of the songs from the album to create a unique work especially for their dancers.

The ballet performed sell out shows at venues in Newport, London and Caernarfon, and continues to show on occasional dates.  Last month, I joined the ballet to play the music live on stage during the first half of the show. Following the interval, the dancers were accompanied by harpist Catrin Finch.
